CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

You are about to get your first horse! There are different expectations to your horse. You first need to check all of the legs, to make sure nothing is sprained, pulled or weak. Don't be afraid to ask LOTS of questions about the horse, so there are no surprises!

Make sure to know what kind of events your horse does well in, such as jumping, barrel racing, western pleasure, english pleasure, and so on. Also, ask the rating from 1-10 on how hot the horse is. In other words, how excited or spirited your horse is.

Let's say that you are now at the owners house! So exciting, yet scary right? Don't worry! I'll be there every step of the way! First off, if the person who is selling the horse talks as fast as they can mentioning some stuff you have never heard about, stop them in there tracks and say that you want them to ride the horse to see the full potential of the horse. Make sure they do what ever they said that the horse does. Call them out! If they said something about the horse, make them lower the price.
